10 Most Disappointing Rock & Metal Albums Of 2020

6. The Used - Heartwork

The Used rose to fame in the early 2000s with their emo tinged rock sound and have remained generally consistent ever since, even if they have fallen away from the spotlight slightly. With that being said, producing albums like this definitely won’t help The Used return to the peak of their fame

As the band’s eighth studio album, ‘Heartwork’ was expected to continue their traditional style, while leaving some room for experimentation and more creativity. Some songs like ‘Blow Me’ nailed this, delivering energy, conviction and proving to be extremely catchy. Despite the efforts of ‘Blow Me’, almost every other song on the record is a letdown and slightly boring.

By the time a song has finished you have already forgotten what it sounded it like as they are all so forgettable and drab. All-in-all, ‘Heartwork’ is easily The Used’s worst album to date.
