10 Most Disturbing Metal Songs That Will Make You Sick

9. The Black Dahlia Murder - The Window

Who in the Hell?:

Named after the infamous Hollywood unsolved crime, The Black Dahlia Murder are a Michigan melodic death metal band who have enjoyed mainstream success. Out of their eight released studio albums, seven have charted in the United States, though they have seen international success too in the world's alt. communities. They have been consistently active since being founded in 2001, though Trevor Strnad (lead vocals) and Brian Eschbach (rhythm guitar/backing vocals) are the only lifelong members.

Sinister Sounds:

At least musically, the instrumental is the easiest to listen to with the power of the guitar dominating while sticking close to conventional metal. Also, the vocals existing in the wake of Screamo's peak certainly lessens their potential for jarring.

Publishable Lyrics:

"My lust to drip my rotten seed upon / Their cooling flesh so fare / Of their gurgled screams / I could never hear enough."

Censored Storyline:

A sexually motivated serial killer revels in the horror of his twisted torture of "the young and dying." The chorus is intense and deeply unsettling to the point that any listener will be wishing it was a mere verse they could quickly jolt from their mind.
