10 Most Disturbing Metal Songs That Will Make You Sick

5. Autopsy - Battery Acid Enema

Who in the Hell?:

Founded in 1987 by Chris Reifert and Eric Cutler (who remain the group's constant members), Autopsy are pioneers and leaders in the death metal genre. They are cited as inspiration for early death metal bands, including Cannibal Corpse, who would go on to become the mainstream champions of the genre. The band, and Reifert in particular, had a hand in the creation of death-doom heavy metal.

Sinister Sounds:

Among all the heaviness and filth is some seriously impressive thrash guitar work. A short track that sticks firmly to the genre's conventions. The strained growls suggest the battery acid is going down a hole other than the titular focus.

Publishable Lyrics:

"Soon you'll have a corrosive liquid / Racing through your bowels / Melting your insides."

Censored Storyline:

While the lyrics are sparse and dense, the scenario proposed needs little elaboration. You likely winced at the song's title alone (if you didn't, good for you, but you should be under suspicion). The description of inflicting the unique brand of torture (and ultimately murder), becomes all the more sickening as the step-by-step lyrics almost stray into wikiHow territory.
