10 Most Exciting Rock Music Albums Still To Come In 2023
3. Back To The Water Below - Royal Blood
Ever since they ripped their way onto the UK rock scene with their 2014 debut, Royal Blood have turned everything they've touched to gold.
All of their three albums have gone straight to number one in their native land, with that first record being certified double platinum. Their unique sound, produced by just a drumkit and a heavily distorted bass guitar, helps them stand out in a crowded market, even if it has started to become a little stale in recent years.
Don't tell them that though, because they will get angry at you, as they proved at this year's Radio One's Big Weekend.
Royal Blood will be hoping to replace those negative headlines with positive ones when their fourth album, Back to the Water Below, emerges from the depths on September 1st.
This will be the first record the band have produced entirely by themselves, after they got some help from Paul Epworth and Queens of the Stone Age's Josh Homme last time around. It'll be interesting to see what this total creative control will look like and if these two can keep up their incredible run of form.
