10 Most Expensive Rock Music Videos Of All Time

4. Dominion - The Sisters Of Mercy ($1,000,000)

Led by singer-songwriter Andrew Eldritch, The Sisters of Mercy emerged from the UK's post punk scene in the 1980s and quickly transformed into a more performative, darker entity.

The band embraced a more gothic side to their music, which you could have figured out from the fact that their lead singer changed his last name to "Eldritch".

They've only released three albums, all of which reached the UK top 20, but their crowning achievement might be this insane video for their song Dominion.

This begins with Eldritch as some sort of secret agent, handing off files to accomplices. By the end of the video, Eldritch is wielding a sword that was concealed by his cane, and there are a bunch of camels everywhere!

Told you it was insane!

The reason for this video's massive price tag of $1,000,000 is probably that it was filmed on location. It's unclear which country the desert scenes were shot in, but there's no doubt that it was very far away from the band's native England.

Still, they all look like they had a nice time, and hopefully the camels got paid with plenty of grass... or whatever it is camels eat.
