10 Most Hated Albums In Rock Music History

7. Raditude - Weezer

Out of all the bad releases that have come and gone throughout the years, there's always a little bit more sting when you know the band in question. Since these guys have the potential to play their asses off and make albums that are some of the benchmarks of the genre, why the hell would they stoop so low and try to make something bottom of the barrel? All bands need to evolve though, and Raditude by Weezer practically looks like a devolution chart.

After being one of the faces of the more nerdy stripe of rock back in the '90s, this was one of the first (and certainly not the last) time that Weezer tried to go pop, which had mixed results to say the least. Even though the critics were harsh to this album, there were at least a few bright spots, with I Want You To having a solid enough hook and songs like Love is the Answer going in a few new directions.

It's just a shame that in order to actually get to those moments, you have to go through some of the worst songs that Weezer have ever made, with Rivers Cuomo trying to come off as a pop star and failing miserably on songs like Let It All Hang Out and Can't Stop Partying. Out of all of the albums on this list, this feels like a band voluntarily leaning into their weaknesses and trying to congratulate themselves by becoming famous. If you take anything away from this one, just stay true to who you are.
