Reason: Don Henley

There's probably a subsect of rock fans who don't really need to know why the Eagles are so hated. Hell, most of the reasoning behind the milquetoast has already been summed up beautifully by the Dude from the Big Lebowski already, right? Aside from just the music though, there's a bit of notoriety that people just can't seem to get over.

For the most part, the relationship between each member of these California rockers was strained at best, with Joe Walsh really being the only care-free person in the lineup. As time has gone on though, the resurgence of the group feels more and more corporate as the years stack up. With Don Henley left to steer the ship, most of the recent activity from the Eagles has been relegated to live shows and the occasional one off documentary rather than any substantial material.

At the same time, Henley's more unpleasant moments have often come at the expense of people trying to "steal" his music. Across all real streaming platforms, Henley has decided that any other interpolation of the Eagles' music that isn't directly benefitting him is stealing, causing most of the group's catalog to be ousted from services like YouTube with a few exceptions. While the rest of the group may have taken the hint, it would seem that Henley has forgotten the one rule of the Eagles about taking it easy.
