10 Most Hated Musicians Of All Time
2. Kanye West
Reason: Drunk on Power
At the start of the '00s, it was downright strange seeing someone like Kanye West have success in the rap game. As opposed to the other rappers of the day talking about how dangerous they were, here was some hotshot producer rocking a pink polo and calling his shot as one of the greatest in the world. What was even more shocking was when all of his big talk actually worked.
For years, Kanye has been one of the most in-demand performers of the modern age, and yet his extracurricular activities are some of the most notorious moments in music. Ever since Graduation, West has claimed his spot as one of the greatest in the world as a given, even going so far as to try and rewrite history both at the Grammys and notoriously interrupting Taylor Swift's acceptance speech at the VMAs. Though albums like My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy still show that he can bring some of the most in-demand productions together, a lot of his moments in between read like a man drunk on power looking to everyone to fuel his ego trip.
Aside from the mental health problems he has been having in recent years, it would seem like West is at least in a better spot than he was just a few years earlier. As it stands though, this is a case where you have to respect the talent instead of actually respecting the person responsible for it.
