10 Most Infamous Shows In Rock History

1. Damageplan Tour 2004

The ending of Pantera could get a little bit messy to say the least. With a lack of communication going on between vocalist Phil Anselmo and the Abbott Brothers, the choice to leave one of the greatest metal bands of the '90s in the dust was a sad day for metalheads around the world. Despite the supposed bad blood between the two camps, no one would have wanted the Alrosa Villa club incident to happen.

Going out on tour with their side band Damageplan, the Abbott Brothers found themselves ducking into Ohio for a club gig before the unthinkable happen. Just a few seconds into their set, a mentally unstable fan stormed the stage brandishing a hand gun, killing Dimebag instantly. It didn't stop there though, with the murderer still storming the stage and shooting out into the crowd in order to keep them away from the ensuing melee. Though cops arrived on the scene to apprehend the suspect, the damage had already been done.

In one fell swoop, Dime was taken from us, with his brother Vinnie Paul waiting years before he could even sum up the courage to go onstage again. Forget just being a show that will live on in infamy. The idea of a musician being shot dead onstage was enough to shake the entire parameters of the rock world for decades to come.
