4. F**k The Police - NWA

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1M8vei3L0L8 Every single song, with the exception maybe of Express Yourself, that NWA ever made was obnoxious and they were proud to wear their obnoxiousness on their sleeves, coming up with putrid little ditty after putrid little ditty. F**k the Police is one of their most celebrated and incendiary songs, describing unfair brutality by the police because they are young black men and the revenge they would like to take upon them. The song is structured so as to be a mock court with "Judge Dre presiding " and a white policeman is being tried. The rest of NWA - MC Ren, Eazy E and Ice Cube give their "evidence" against the policeman (which really just consists of how much they want to kill him and other uniformed officers). Here are some highlights of their "testimony": Ice Cube - F**kin' with me cos I'm a teenager With a little bit of gold and a pager Searchin my car, lookin for the product Thinking every n***a is selling narcotics! A young n***a on the war path And when I finish It's gonna be a bloodbath Of cops dyin in LA MC Ren - Smoke any asshole that's sweating me Or any motherf**ker that threatens me I'm a sniper with a hell of a scope Takin out a cop or two they can't cope with me Eazy E - They put up my picture with silence Cos my identity by itself causes violence The E with the criminal behaviour Yeah I'm a gangsta but still I got flavour Without a gun and a badge what do ya got? A sucker in a uniform waitin' to get shot. Yes they hate the police. And at the end of the song Dre finds the policeman guilty of being a "red neck, white bread, chicken s**t motherf**ker" and the police man is dragged off screaming racial insults. I know a lot of policemen and women and I would never encourage violence against officers of the law ever. But this song is a favourite guilty pleasure of mine.
