10 Most Savage Rock And Metal Diss Tracks Of All Time

Suffice to say, Trent Reznor is probably not someone that you'd want on your bad side all too often. Considering how much raw rage and anger he laid into himself on The Downward Spiral, just imagine what it would sound like when he actually has a real target to latch onto. In the years since the grunge rose and fell though, Reznor did have a few choice words to the woman who was quickly turning Generation X's Yoko Ono.
In the wake of Kurt Cobain's death, people really started to turn on Courtney Love, thinking that she was only with Kurt to get his money. While you can chalk that up to just misplaced anger at Cobain's death, Reznor does at least have a legitimate reason to be upset, seeing as how he and Love had dated and left things on pretty bad terms before he went in to start work on the Fragile.
Being a much different experience than the Downward Spiral, Starf*ckers has all of the pure rage that showed up on Spiral, only with Reznor seething with anger as he calls out Love for being spoiled with a backing track that would make Marilyn Manson jealous. He wasn't even trying to hide his anger either with the video, which shows a caricature of Love getting thrown through the ringer more than a few times. It might not be aging the greatest in NIN's catalog, but your mind will let you do some crazy things when you're heartbroken.
