10 Most Successful Rock Music Star Siblings

1. The Youngs (Angus And Malcolm)

Let's end the list with a pair of siblings who actually got on.

Born in Scotland in the 1950s, Malcolm and Angus Young grew up in Australia after their parents moved there in the early '60s. This was where the boys would cut their musical teeth, both showing a proficiency for the electric guitar.

It would also be where they would meet Bon Scott, who would eventually join them to form hard rock outfit AC/DC. In 1978, they broke through onto the international scene with a little album called Highway to Hell.

Over the next several decades, the band dealt with stardom and despair in equal measure. Angus was their wild, strutting main attraction, whilst Malcolm remained the steady hand on the wheel of the ship.

This winning formula kept the band popular for decades. Unfortunately, this came to an end in 2017, when Malcolm passed away due to complications with dementia.

Both Young brothers embodied totally different musical philosophies. Angus was the crazy performer, whilst Malcolm was the cool head. Without either of these roles, AC/DC might have never left Australia.

The Youngs complimented each other perfectly, and the world was very grateful for that.
