10 Most Underrated AC/DC Songs
8. Rock N Roll Train - Black Ice
As the '00s started to draw for a close, it seemed like AC/DC had really said all they needed to say. With their last record nearly a decade old and them making one of the more impressive compilations for a superhero movie in the Iron Man soundtrack, it felt like the time had come for these guys to start coaxing off of nostalgia. Then Black Ice comes out and blows the entire lid off of the place.
From front to back, this is the kind of thing you'd expect from a traditional AC/DC record, only refined to a tee thanks to their touring schedule. Though the riffs and vocals are as strong as ever on Rock N Roll Train, it's the unsung heroes of the band who really help land the killing blow here. Instead of just being a non-presence, this song actually has one of the more impressive performances from Cliff Richard, whose bass tones and backing vocals maintain the groove and allow the rest of the track to breathe.
When getting together material in your twilight years, most of these projects have all of the potential to suck from the word go, and yet Rock n Roll Train shows AC/DC getting back into their groove and making it all look easy.
