10 Most Underrated AC/DC Songs

3. Beating Around The Bush - Highway To Hell

Throughout their tenure, AC/DC was never one to conform to the trends around them. No matter what iteration of the band you found out in the wild, there was no way you would find an unplugged tune, a political protest song, or some incorporation of synths and keyboards. It was all just straight ahead rock and roll...the intensity could get a little chaotic though.

Just as you start to settle into the groove of Highway to Hell, Beating Around the Bush arrives and tears your head off with its intensity. While everything is still rooted in the traditional bluesy rock and roll we are used to, the BPM has gone up a few notches, almost giving the song a borderline punk edge. Even though some people mock that the band's songs are easy to play, that doesn't apply to this tune, with Angus and Malcolm working in perfect sync in one of the most twisting riffs they had ever laid down.

Despite the more off-kilter accompaniment, Bon actually finds a way to perfectly glide over the changes, as he snarls at his prey, ready to pounce the moment he is let loose. Compared to something like the Ramones or the Sex Pistols from around the same time, Beating Around the Bush is what happens when punk grows into its hard rock boots.
