10 Most Underrated Aerosmith Songs

3. Beyond Beautiful - Just Push Play

Look...I'm not gonna sit here and tell you that Just Push Play is Aerosmith's misunderstood masterpiece. Without a doubt, this is one of the most phoned-in records they have ever made, with most of the songs trying to piggyback off the success they got with their one #1 song I Don't Wanna Miss a Thing. However, if there's one thing that's actually salvageable about this record, it does have a decent barnburner right out of the gate.

Opening with an Eastern sounding sitar line, Beyond Beautiful definitely puts one foot in the right direction by making you think that something epic is going to follow. For an album that has a ton of bland cuts across its runtime, this is one of the more adventurous things to come from this era of Aerosmith, as the sitar practically leads the rest of the song with Steven Tyler spewing out his trademark lines about sex.

Even though the actual guitar solo is a bit too shimmery than many fans may have been used to, it does its job in the song by delicately riding the line between tuneful and just a little bit off-kilter. Despite the intense amount of crap that you have to sift through on this album, audiences would have been a lot kinder if Aerosmith's pop crossover sounded more like this.
