10 Most Underrated Aerosmith Songs

2. Kings And Queens - Draw The Line

There's always seemed to be a bit of contention when it comes to talking about Draw the Line. As a whole, the album is what you come to expect from the Bad Boys from Boston, despite the members being in the deepest throes of addiction during the recording process. Even though the album does feel...um..."chemically enhanced" in some places, these guys left a diamond in between their trademark riffs.

Coming out of the Joe Perry penned Bright Light Fright, Kings and Queens is one of the most epic moments in Aerosmith's entire catalog, as Steven Tyler dials in a more horrific lyrical image. Gone are the seedy characters you would find on the streets of America...we're now in Viking territory, as Tyler tells a tale of the every-man-for-himself mentality that came with some of the most barbaric of warriors. Though plenty of acts like Led Zeppelin had pulled from historic warriors for their lyrics, Tyler flips it around to the listener that this same behavior feels all too familiar to him.

As such, this metaphor of debauchery becomes an unintended autobiography for the band at this stage, trying desperately to find some sort of light in between the darkness. Given its parent album's reputation as the start of Aerosmith's downward spiral, this harsh cut might be one of the most meta moments in hard rock history.
