10 Most Underrated Blink 182 Songs

4. Teenage Satellites - California

From a raw musician standpoint, Matt Skiba tends to get a bit of a bad rep in the Blink legacy. Although he already has a pop punk pedigree of his own with Alkaline Trio, there are always going to be those fans who just see him as the guy who replaced Tom. If a Blink without Tom is what we're dealing with though, Teenage Satellites if proof that it's still going to be awesome.

You wouldn't have thought that from the opening notes though, with the original verses sounding like a run through of something that should have been left on the cutting room floor. When Matt takes over, he creates one of the greatest choruses of Blink's entire career, talking about running away and travelling through the cosmos with his lover.

And let's face it, Skiba has put in some time making sure his pipes are in good shape for his first turn on a Blink record. Outside of a few touchups here and there, you can tell that the dude can still belt and is about delivering 110% whenever he's doing a tradeoff with Mark. So we've got a catchy chorus, lyrics about running away from your troubles, and a theme of travelling through space while you're doing it. This is probably the most Tom Delonge adjacent song that the Tom-less version of Blink have ever made.
