10 Most Underrated Eminem Songs

6. Fast Lane - Hell: The Sequel

Bad Meets Evil has been the cause of and solution of a lot of Eminem's problems over the years. When this collab with Royce da 5'9'' was intriguing on the Slim Shady LP, the eventual full length project put together for Hell: the Sequel left many hardcore Slim fans feeling cold. What stings even more is that this project looked like it was going to be something epic when that first single dropped.

On the surface, Fast Lane could just be your typical swaggering lifestyle song, but the chemistry between Em and Royce works wonder when playing off each other, with as many clever one-liners as there are hard bars. Not every lyric is an absolute home run or anything, but the actual vocal execution makes it a lot more engaging than the actual words on paper could ever hope to be. Even the hook line from Sly Jordan is slick as hell, with it sounding like it could be blaring out of a Mercedes as it rolls down the freeway.

At a time when Em was in a state of commercial flux, this was the re-energizing project he needed to bring himself back from the edge. The rest of Hell: the Sequel is padded out with a bit of filler, but if we had gotten more cuts like this, it would be far more than just a footnote in his catalog.
