10 Most Underrated Eminem Songs

5. Kill You - Marshall Mathers LP

Most of Eminem's trolling tactics seem a bit cute in retrospect. For as many blantantly offensive lines he put in between every one of his bars, the rise of the Internet has not been favorable for these tracks' replay value. On the other hand, if you managed to piss off every parent in the US on one record, it makes sense to do it all over again.

After receiving a straight up "f**k you" on the intro of the Marshall Mathers LP, Kill You comes on to double down on all the scary aspects Em only hinted at on the album before. Though most of this song is centered around the different ladies in his life, the harshness in his delivery makes it sound like this man is having a full on mental breakdown in the middle of the vocal booth.

Even though the chorus is one of the most simplistic of his career, the horror themed hook does its job perfectly, slightly putting you on edge every time he starts to sing. By the time he gets to the end to admit he's playing, what you were listening to was so harsh you can't tell if he's joking or not. Kill You might not get as dark as something like Kim or Stan, but as a send off for the rest of the album, you come out of this track knowing this is going to go down a dark road.
