10 Most Underrated Fall Out Boy Songs

9. Disloyal Order Of Water Buffaloes

By most people's taste, the extensive, pre-hiatus Fall Out Boy catalogue concluded with a whimper as the follow-up to the sublime Infinity On High was largely forgotten about by fans.

Critically, Folie A Deux was in-keeping with the band's previous work, but it didn't offer anything amazing. Singles were inconsistent, as the catchy-yet-annoying I Don't Care pales in comparison to the beautiful What A Catch, Donnie. The one that stands above them all, however, is the opening track: Disloyal Order of Water Buffaloes.

The song was written towards the end of the album's production, and it continued the magic just a moment longer, as the lyrical quirks that the band are known for are on full display. 'I'm a loose bolt of a complete machine' or 'detox just to retox' were surely lines that etched across every late-2000's teen's Facebook profile.

Stump's offering to the tune is razor sharp, displaying his effortless vocal range, the hook is anthemic and the chorus packs a punch every time it arrives. If Disloyal Order of Water Buffaloes was featured on any other Fall Out Boy album, it wouldn't be as forgotten as it regrettably is.
