10 Most Underrated Foo Fighters Songs

3. Cold Day In The Sun (2005)

In Your Honor gave us the first indication of Dave Grohls' ability to turn his hand to acoustic rock. And, it turned out he could write ballads with the same proficiency as all-out headbangers. The second half of the album was exclusively made up of acoustic numbers, with Grohl delivering some of his most tender performances.

But we were also treated to Taylor Hawkins' first lead vocal endeavour with the group. Cold Day In The Sun was one of the more care free numbers on the album. With Grohl taking residents on the drum kit, Hawkins' took on the vocals. Although Hawkins' thought his lyrics were generic, Grohl loved the melody and was more than keen to have his drummer share the spot light.

The track also featured on the group's live acoustic album Skin and Bones (2006). With the tragic passing of Hawkins, this is definitely one you'll want to indulge in.
