10 Most Underrated Foo Fighters Songs
2. Over And Out (Acoustic) (2006)
If you still haven't gotten around to checking it out, Skin and Bones is one of the Foo Fighters' most enjoyable albums. Recorded live at the Pantages Theatre in LA. it contains a plethora of the group's most loved numbers, played in a stripped down format, not unlike the Nirvana MTV Unplugged special.
For a group who've made their name as one of the most energetic live bands going, they certainly know how to pull it back when the mood takes them. A sign of a great rock song is when you can strip away all the angst and distortion, and still strike a chord. This album is full of great rock songs.
Over and Out is one of the more enjoyable moments of the performances. The group were augmented by a string section and even a glockenspiel - one of the least likely instruments to hear at a rock show. But damn does it work. If you want to experience another side of the Foo Fighters, then this album is one to checkout. Dave Grohl did Cobain proud with this set.
