10 Most Underrated Foo Fighters Songs

4. Low (2002)

Foo Fighters have always been known for their ridiculous music videos. But nothing comes close to Low. The song itself is great, but the video takes it to a whole new level.

Low appeared on the Foo Fighters' fourth record. And it was a behemoth. This was the album that contained the headbanger, All My Life; but the track's wild popularity served to overshadow an equally engaging number. Low is one of the more frantic and neurotic numbers Grohl has ever written, his lyrics are filled with themes of over-indulgence, and the guitar riff mirrors the feeling of spiralling out of control. Although the group released it as the fourth single, it certainly didn't reach the audience it should have. No doubt due to MTV's decision to ban the video...

To match the dark tone of the song, Grohl wanted something special. He teamed up with his old pal Jack Black and originally planned to shoot the Tenacious D singer, dancing in a tutu for an unbroken shot, lasting the length of the song. But soon the ideas and the booze started flowing. Grohl and Black decided to get wasted for the shoot, and pose as a couple of hicks letting loose in a seedy motel. As things progress the two parade around in women's clothing partaking in ever more debauched activities. Dave Grohl in stockings and pigtails is quite a sight...
