10 Most Underrated Foo Fighters Songs

8. Come Back - One By One

Out of all of the classic Foos records that we've gotten, One by One seems to feel like a black sheep. Since the band was close to imploding during the making of this record, there aren't too many songs off of this one that Dave looks back on that fondly, aside from the singles like All My Life and Times Like These. Considering what ends this album though, Dave might be a little too hard on himself.

Being almost 8 minutes long, Come Back is one of the longest cuts that the Foos had made up to this point, and they do not waste a single second during that run time. In essence, this entire track feels like two perfectly acceptable single cuts combined together, with the first one being your standard Foo Fighters set closer song. The song doesn't really show its hand though until the acoustic guitars come in.

As the unplugged sections plod away for a few minutes, you can feel the band continuously building in intensity, up until Taylor Hawkins is bashing away on the drums to bring the entire song home. If anything, this is probably ahead of the time for what the Foo Fighters would be doing later. Since the unplugged idea worked for this song, this may have planted the seeds for the entire back half of In Your Honor.
