10 Most Underrated Glam Rock Songs Of All Time

7. Riot - Blue Murder

Running supergroups in music is often like protecting a house of cards against strong wind. Things inevitably fall apart. However, that does not mean they can’t produce some sensational music while they were together. Founded by Whitesnake guitarist John Sykes, despite their ultimately doomed run, Blue Murder’s first release was a tremendous piece of work.

The pick of the bunch, is perhaps the opener, “Riot”. With the kind of tunes that will get anyone immersed, the song ticks every single box when it comes to what you would want from a glam rock song.

The star of the show is of course Sykes himself. If there were any doubts as to how important a cog he was in the Whitesnake machine, his guitar work here is what propels this song into stratospheric heights.
