10 Most Underrated Guns N' Roses Songs
8. I Don't Care About You - The Spaghetti Incident
After the beyond chaotic tour to support the Illusion records back in the day, was anyone really asking for something like the Spaghetti Incident? Since most of the hardcore Guns fans realized that the dream was over, what good was a bunch of cover songs going to do at bringing our spirits back up? Well, if you find the right tune, you actually get a pretty good result on I Don't Care About You.
From day one, Guns was always a bit of a snotty punk group to draw from, and this take on a classic song by FEAR is one of the greatest that they've ever made. Compared to the over the top theatrics that we got used to on the Illusion records, this feels like a true return to form for them, with the guitars sounding pretty punchy and Axl having a much more worn vocal performance than usual.
Just like the old school punk performances, this is the kind of song where it sounds like things are about to fall apart at every corner, and yet it manages to stay on its feet all the way to the final finish. Based on this one song, it looked like Guns may have been back on solid ground. Too bad that it was only a happy accident before the dark times really started to settle in. Though I will say...that Charles Manson cover at the end is a bit ill advised.
