10 Most Underrated Led Zeppelin Songs

6. The Ocean

Led Zeppelin Albums
Atlantic

The finale of Houses of the Holy is a true riff-based blues tune. The Ocean is arguably the most underrated of all of Page's backing riffs.

Bonham's now famous line of "we've done four already, but now we're steady and then they went, 1... 2... 3... 4...," is the drummer pep talking the band in for the fifth and final recording of the track. Bonham's little speech works perfectly before the band comes crashing down with sensational riffs really setting you up for this grand finale.

Throughout, the track has the perfect compliment of guitar riffs and thumping drums. Whilst being kind of funky throughout, the last minute really changes into this gear and ups the blues, providing a real underrated gem.

The perfect way to end a sensational album, "oh, so good"...
