10 Most Underrated Mötley Crüe Songs

2. Hooligan's Holiday - Motley Crue

Any OG Crue fan would have been absolutely gutted about the news of Vince Neil leaving the band after the tour for Dr. Feelgood. What made even less sense though was the idea of the band continuing without him, bringing in John Corabi as his successor. Every band member had their own unique personality and without Vince at the table...it actually sort of worked on Hooligan's Holiday.

Compared to the more nasal voice of Neil, Corabi's baritone register is one of the biggest strengths to this song, especially when paired with the more intense riffs. This is by far the heaviest Crue record in their catalog, and it works a lot better when you have them take cues from bands like Metallica and actually pulling it off. Vince could have never made a song like this work on his own, but it's not even Corabi who lands the killing blow here.

In between Tommy's drums, the unsung hero of this track (and the Crue in general) is Mick Mars. Known as the more seasoned musician of the band, the heavier groove of this song gives Mick a chance to pull from his bag of tricks, bringing in a lot more flash and even some bluesy pieces every now and again. Even though most of the world met this version of the Crue with a resounding "no, thank you," songs like this deserve to have a sequel record sometime down the line.
