10 Most Underrated My Chemical Romance Songs

2. Party Poison - Danger Days

There was a lot more riding on Danger Days than My Chemical Romance really needed. Since they had pretty much set the benchmark for what they could do on the previous album, how are you expected to do the same thing over again, but better? Though this dystopian future-style album was definitely its own thing, it didn't skimp out on the intensity when you have tracks like Party Poison.

Considering this entire record runs like a Mad Max fever dream, this kind of balls to the wall rock and roll was a welcome change of pace from the keyboard sounds of the other tracks like SING. Opening up with a bit of radio dial chatter, the song explodes right as the guitars come in, as Gerard introduces his latest character to the MCR world, who brings the party in a less than stellar way.

After spending the first few tracks in the wasteland with no real hope for survival, this is the kind of rave in the middle of the desert that's ripped out of your nightmares, where everything is pushed to the max and there's no cares in the world. It might sound like the last great party before the end of the world, but even if you don't live to see tomorrow, you can still get into a lot of trouble for the night.
