10 Most Underrated Oasis Songs

1. The Masterplan - The Masterplan

So...have you ever heard of this little band called the Beatles? It turns out the Gallagher Brothers have, and the majority of the music press have noticed as well. From the minute that the band formed, it looked like the Gallaghers were trying their best to sound as close the Fab Four as they possibly could. Though the world isn't ready to put them on that pedestal just yet, the Masterplan is enough to at least put them in the conversation.

Thrown on the B-side of Wonderwall, this really is Noel Gallagher's masterpiece, mixing different experimental sounds like backwards guitar in with one of the most grandiose orchestral arrangements in their catalog. Starting off with a chord progression that sounds like it could have come off of a James Bond film, you can practically see the clouds breaking as we reach the chorus, where Noel lets out one of the greatest singalongs of his career.

Though Noel has famously let the crowd take over for a song like Don't Look Back in Anger, this is the song that deserves to be chanted along just as well, proclaiming that we're all masters of our own path and we should just let life take its course to sort everything out. Considering this would be one of the final tracks to come from Oasis' glory years, this is a nice way to close the chapter. What a way to go out, mates.
