10 Most Underrated Oasis Songs
8. Part Of The Queue - Don't Believe The Truth
After the one two punch of Definitely Maybe and What's the Story Morning Glory, there was pretty much no way that Oasis could reach those heights again. Their music never stopped being bad per se...it just wasn't on the god tier level that many people may have anticipated back in the day. If there was anything that could have been a resurgence though, it was Don't Believe the Truth and songs like Part of the Queue.
Being one of the most finely produced albums in their catalog, this track is the one song that has a few more twists and turns that many were probably expecting. While a majority of this record sees the band going back to the British tinged songs that are reminiscent of the '60s, the loop like feeling that you get from the verses of this song make you feel like you're being thrown around in a circle as you listen.
There's also a little bit more of that late period insecurity coming through in Noel's songwriting, as he sings about not being able to find anymore soul as he walks the streets anymore. Since this is a man who's a decade separated from his glory years, Noel seems to be wondering where all of the fun went. If there's none to be had here though, he's got no choice but to make some fun for himself on this song.
