10 Most Underrated Oasis Songs

5. I'm Outta Time - Dig Out Your Soul

It took Liam quite a bit of time before he was able to catch up to his brother in the songwriting department. I mean, who are we kidding here? Since Noel has a perfect grip on melody, it's not like the band was hurting for any material or anything. Even though Little James was a shaky start for Liam, he made all those years of work count on I'm Outta Time.

Coming right in the middle of Dig Out Your Soul, this is the first major departure from the garage rock of the rest of the record, bringing in a lot more of the psychedelic flourishes that we had loved them for back in the day. And if you thought Noel sounding insecure was a bit strange, hearing Liam talk about needing the support from his lover is even more shellshocking, considering this was the same guy who took potshots at Blur when he was gathering awards back in the day.

Above all, this is a great example of why the anticipation is always worth the wait with Liam's songs. While you might have to wait awhile for a Liam song to make it onto the record, they're always a spectacle when they do reach the top. On what would be Oasis' final album, leave it to Liam to write the song that could go toe to toe with any of Noel's tracks on the record.
