10 Most Underrated Punk Albums Ever

9. Peter & The Test Tube Babies - The Mating Sounds Of South American Frogs

In the days before streaming, bands had to find innovative ways to stand out from the crowd, especially in the saturated period of punk rock dominance. Perhaps this is what motivated Peter & the Test Tube Babies to come up with one of the most bizarre (or best) punk album names ever.

Released in 1983, ‘The Mating Sounds of South American Frogs’ was the band’s second studio album. Joining the punk scene a few years late didn’t seem to stop Peter & the Test Tube Babies from having a successful career, and are one of the few original punk bands who are still an active band today.

This album contains some of the band’s biggest songs such as ‘The Jinx’ and ‘Blown Out Again’, but also includes some hidden gems like ‘Guest List’ and ‘Easter Bank Holiday’.
