10 Most Underrated Rock & Metal Albums Of The 2010s

8. Max Raptor - Mother's Ruin

Given the recent success of British punk acts such as Slaves, Frank Carter & the Rattlesnakes and IDLES, it’s almost impossible to understand how Max Raptor are not held to the same prestige.

This midlands based punk rock group formed in 2006 but didn’t release any studio material until 2011 in the form of their debut EP, ‘Portraits’. This fantastic release came about following Max Raptor’s short stint supporting British punk legends, The Stranglers, in 2010. ‘Mother’s Ruin’ was the band’s debut full length album and was released in 2013 to notable acclaim.

The lead single, ‘England Breathes’, was regularly featured on Kerrang! And other stations also picked up on the band. However, the album went largely unnoticed as far as mainstream exposure was concerned, and ‘Mother’s Ruin’ remained locked in the underground. Max Raptor have released an EP and a second studio album since ‘Mother’s Ruin’ but have not released any fresh material since 2016.
