10 Most Underrated Rock Music Frontmen And Women
9. Joel O'Keeffe - Airbourne
Airbourne are an Australian band known for their classic rock sound and rowdy, sing-a-long choruses. And yes, you could replace "Airbourne" with "AC/DC" in that sentence and it would still make perfect sense.
Whilst they may have copied heavily from AC/DC's homework, Airbourne still put on a good show and have carved out a musical path all of their own.
One of the most recognisable parts of the group's act is the sight of frontman Joel O'Keefe leaping about on stage with his signature white guitar. He also apparently hasn't worn a t-shirt since 2013.
Clearly inspired by Angus Young, O'Keefe is an absolute wildman, throwing himself about with reckless abandon in the name of good ol' fashioned rock 'n' roll.
O'Keefe plays the guitar like a drunken dad at a wedding, except he makes it look and sound great. He embodies everything fun about rock music and is clearly loving the opportunity to live out his dream on the world stage.
Originality may not be their strong suit, but Airbourne do their schtick just as well as those who did it first.
