It's hardly surprising that The Pretty Reckless' Taylor Momsen is comfortable leading a band, as she broke into the entertainment industry as a child actor.

Momsen made a huge splash as Cindy Lou Who in the 2000 version of How the Grinch Stole Christmas, before going on to star in the TV show Gossip Girl.

Then, her career took a hard left turn when she gave up acting to pursue a career as a rockstar.

The Pretty Reckless released their first album in 2010, when Momsen was just 17 years old. Despite her youth, she was a veteran performer by this point, and exuded the confidence of someone twice her age.

Momsen just has something about her; a detached swagger that makes her the perfect vessel through which to channel her band's hard-hitting gothic rock. She also more than looks the part, with her white-blonde hair standing out against her dark costume and make-up.

Without Momsen's captivating presence, The Pretty Reckless would not be nearly as popular as they are today.

Now who wants to see a version of The Grinch where modern-day Taylor plays Cindy? Because that would be incredible.
