10 Most Unexpected Collaborations In Modern Rock

6. Jack White & Alicia Keys

In all the years that the James Bond franchise has been using popular singers for its title themes, only once has it paired up two of them up for a duet.

Unfortunately, that song sucked so badly that we might have to wait another 46 years for them to do it again.

To be fair, Another Way to Die isn't terrible. It just isn't very memorable, nor does it compete with any of the other great songs in the Bond pantheon. It doesn't help that its associated with Quantum of Solace, one of the worst-reviewed 007 outings of all time.

It also doesn't help that it brought together two artists from totally different worlds - RnB singer and pianist Alicia Keys and blues rock wildman Jack White.

White did most of the heavy lifting on the song, writing it, producing it, and playing a majority of the instruments. Keys beat out the likes of Amy Winehouse and Leona Lewis to land the gig, meaning that this would have been an entry on this list regardless of who the Bond producers chose.

Seriously, somebody looked at those three women and went "Oh yeah, the Seven Nation Army guy!"
