3. Fall Out Boy & Jay-Z
We've already mentioned Linkin Park in this list, who famously collabed with rap god Jay-Z on a version of their song Numb. Three years after that monster track dropped, Jay-Z was back for another duet with a band your parents were unhappy with you listening to in 2007.
For their third studio album Infinity on High, Fall Out Boy needed a huge statement to kick things off. So, they recruited the 99 Problems vocalist to feature on the album's opening track Thriller.
And before you ask, no this was not a Michael Jackson cover with Z playing the role of Vincent Price. Although that would have been awesome.
The hip hop icon gives a spoken word intro to the entire album, letting everybody know that they're in for a good time.
It's not a feature in the traditional sense, as he doesn't actually contribute to the song itself, but it's just a really cool addition to the album that would have caught many CD-buyers' eyes whilst they were browsing the shelves.
Fun fact, Kanye West also almost ended up Infinity on High. Although, considering what he turned out to be many years later, Fall Out Boy may have dodged a bullet there.
