8. Kanye Jokingly Followed Beck On Stage At The Grammys (Except It Wasn't A Joke)
Ah, Kanye West such an infinite well of unique talking points. Somehow, society at large has seen the funny side of the Taylor Swift VMAs incident and forgiven you, embracing your penchant for eccentricity and forgetting how you stole the singer's limelight. Since then, it's been bizarre moment after bizarre moment, from demanding a crippled fan stand up at a live show to feuding on Twitter with Jimmy Kimmel. In 2015, however, it seemed like Kanye had finally gained that most valuable of traits he'd finally become self-aware. During the 57th Annual Grammy Awards, American musician Beck bagged the Grammy for Album Of The Year for his 2014 release Morning Phase. On his way up to the stage, Beck was slyly followed by Kanye, who stopped short of Beck, raised his hand and smiled, as if referencing his previous interruption in a jovial way. Beck laughed, the audience laughed, and all was going well. That was until later, anyway, when Kanye revealed that his faux-interruption had almost been a lot more genuine, and that his protest against Beck was deadly serious. Kanye felt that Beyonce had been insulted by losing out on the award, and demanded that Beck respect artistry and give his award to Beyonce. Never change, Kanye. Never change. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hM1g3D75kDw
