10 Music Artists That Won't Defend Their Own Songs

6. Wonderwall - Oasis

Almost anyone who goes into any open mic night across the world is going to get sick of Wonderwall sooner or later. It might have just been this innocent little song that Noel Gallagher wrote for Oasis, but the amount of jokers with acoustic guitars who have come and gone in bar and grills across the world still insist on playing the song, wearing out the sentiment and ramming it into the ground. And out of all the past members of the band, the one who hates it the most is not actually the guy who plays guitar.

Ever since the breakup of Oasis, Liam Gallagher has talked about how he can't stand the song, and the actual idea of singing it makes him wanna gag. Being a staple of his live shows, Gallagher usually saves this song towards the end of the set, which is probably is a sign that the show's almost over more than anything else. As much as he might seem jaded about his own success, you can sort of see where Liam's coming from here.

Despite being one of the kings of rock and roll back in the '90s in his native England, there are still millions of fans who just see Wonderwall as Oasis' only claim to fame, with stronger songs like Live Forever and Slide Away being almost an afterthought. So for Liam, his hatred for Wonderwall might not be because the song itself is bad. It's just that there are other songs that suit him much better.
