10 Music Easter Eggs You Never Realised Were In Famous Albums
9. Nirvana Endless, Nameless
There's something to be said for the humble hidden track. Sadly, in this digital age, it's not really possible to 'hide' music on albums, as its very easy to see the track length and skip through large silences.
Back when records were the most prominent form of music distribution, though, it was entirely normal for there to be space left on records. This space often contained nothing at all. Grunge band Nirvana capitalised on this space, placing the track Endless, Nameless after about ten minutes of silence. This meant many people simply didn't find it naturally. The track is a brutal mix of crashing drums, wailing guitar and screaming vocals. It was accidentally left off the first pressing of Nevermind but was added later due to the band's firm insistence. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gmtbsFW0tCw
