10 Music Reunions That Were Doomed From The Start

5. Frankie Goes To Hollywood

Is a reunion really a reunion if your lead singer refuses to perform with you? This was a question that members of 1980s hit makers Frankie Goes To Hollywood had to ponder when they decided to get back together.

In all honesty the possibility of a reunion would probably not have crossed the minds of the Liverpudlians had it been for the 2004 VH1 show Bands Reunited. With each member tracked down one by one, the premise of the show was for the supposedly reformed band to finish with a one off special concert. Whilst the band members reunited in person lead singer Holly Johnson refused to perform a concert at such sort notice feeling the scenario to be contrived.

With Johnson's refusal to sing, original members Peter Gill, Paul Rutherford, Jed O'Toole decided to regroup under the name Forbidden Hollywood bringing in Ryan Molloy on vocals. Plans for a new album and tour dates were released only to be cancelled 2007.
