10 Music Videos That Were Actually Made By Famous Directors

5. Steven Spielberg - The Goonies 'R' Good Enough (Cyndi Lauper)

Steven Spielberg is arguably the most famous director in the history of filmmaking. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1946, his career has spanned almost fifty years. A few of Spielberg's most beloved films include Jaws, E.T., Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park, Schindler's List and Saving Private Ryan. What's interesting, then, is that Spielberg has only ever participated in the creation of one music video, for the song The Goonies 'R' Good Enough by Cyndi Lauper. The song was released in 1985 alongside film The Goonies. The video is high-concept and gloriously 80s, featuring a host of exaggerated characters. A bit of trivia: Spielberg himself appears as a character towards the end, wearing dark sunglasses and a blue cap. Reportedly he injured his leg on set, which caused him to limp during filming. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LxLhytQ67fs
