10 Music Videos Scarier Than Horror Movies

5. Radiohead - Burn The Witch

The lead single from Radiohead's comeback ninth album, A Moon Shaped Pool, Burn The Witch spent over a decade in the recording studio before being released to the public in 2016. A pushback against groupthink ideologies and a desire for conformity in society, Burn The Witch is a bit of an orchestral rock song with its string sections and guitar plucking.

The music video for the song was directed by Chris Hopewell and features a unique stop-motion animation modelled around the Trumptonshire series, which is a series that already looks like a horror movie in the making.

The animation follows the classic horror story of The Wicker Man, with a policeman being welcomed into a strange community and eventually uncovering a secret plot that leaves the man being burned alive inside a giant wicker man.

Quite literally an adaptation of an already classic tale within the world of horror movies, Radiohead's decision to go with the stop-motion animations and old style children's show characters somehow manages to stand out as one of the scariest versions of The Wicker Man story to date.
