10 Music Videos Scarier Than Horror Movies

4. Wolf Alice - You're A Germ

Released back in June 2015 when Wolf Alice were still just a fresh-faced Indie band from London, You're A Germ is the third single from the band's debut album My Love Is Cool.

The music video opens with a band member producing a zoomed-in scream that Marion Crane would be proud of, but then the camera backs out the scene shows that the man is in fact laughing, surrounded by his friends in the midst of a dinner party.

Dinner parties seem to be all the rage in horror these days, with slashers such as You're Next and The Invitation proving to be a real popular hit, so big ticks already for You're A Germ's setting here.

The dinner party is then suddenly interrupted when a woman feels a spot of blood drop onto her hand, and the front door to the house is smashed in as a masked villain struts in with an axe in his hand.

This opening shot is then repeated, and a series of alternate universes begin to play out with a whole host of homages to the likes of the Evil Dead and House Of A Thousand Corpses with the house being swarmed upon by killer clowns with chainsaws and evil looking creatures that blur the lines between Deadite and zombies.

It's as simple a slasher premise as anyone is ever likely to find, but the impressive make up and direction from behind the camera are sure to ensure You're A Germ is good for a couple of scares before it's done.
