What Happens In The Video? The video can only be described as a journey. A woman swims into the open mouth of a whale and her trip only gets more batsh*t crazy from there. Some other crazy stuff happens and eventually it emerges that the girl is on the dance floor of some club, no doubt filled to the high heavens with all sorts of intoxicants. But there are other inferences to be taken considering the ambiguity of the material. What Would The Film Be About? The video could definitely be adapted to feature-length; all it takes is a filmmaker with the right vision and voila. Because of said ambiguity filmmakers can take from it what they wish. For the plot of a film, it could definitely have an adult Alice in Wonderland vibe; the girl who undertakes 'the test' can go on this crazy, chaotic journey, resulting in some ultimate payoff. Imagine the girl beginning the film in free-fall, landing in the ocean, not knowing where the hell she is or having any memory at all. She undergoes various other trials and tribulations, Labyrinth-style. When she finishes her 'test', she awakens back in the real world with all the memories of why she had undergone such a trial in the first place - taking a kind of sci-fi slant that the whole thing was perhaps a drug-induced dream, serving as a rite of passage for some all-important third-act reasoning. Who Should Direct? Michel Gondry could do a lot of crazy stuff with those visuals, or Luc Besson with the sci-fi future sh*te. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yhS9LnDoo_w
