4. Run the Jewels feat. Zack de la Rocha - Close Your Eyes (And Count to F**k)
What Happens In The Video? A cop (played by Shea Wigham) and a suspected criminal (played by Keith Stanfield, who appeared in the aforementioned Short Term 12 and as a young Snoop Dogg in Straight Outta Compton) have a knock-down, drag-out brawl in the streets of L.A. In the end, they come to a beleaguered truce out of fatigue, and its strongly implied that the young man played by Stanfield is allowed to run free. What Would The Film Be About? Ostensibly it would be about this wayward cop hunting this young guy down, before ending up in a similar slobberknocker as the music video. There would have to be an explanation as to why the officer does not call for back-up; so how about he be a corrupt cop instead, and the young guy has witnessed him doing something he shouldnt have? That element adds further desperation to Whighams character, and the assured innocence of Stanfields. Who Should Direct? The relentless pursuit of the lawman would be handled well by Blue Ruins Jeremy Saulnier. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PkGwI7nGehA
