10 Musicians That Will Never Work With Each Other Again

7. Simon vs. Garfunkel

For a genre that sounds all pillowy soft nowadays, a lot of people forget just how heavy the early folk revolution was. Compared to the party jams that we have nowadays, the era of Bob Dylan speaking out against oppression in song was a lot more pertinent than we probably gave them credit for back in the day. Though Simon and Garfunkel managed to be just as poignant, it didn't help when they took it out on themselves.

Although it was understood that Paul Simon wrote all of the songs for the band, there was always that bit of a creative rub in between sessions as to who was holding the reigns. Even though Art Garfunkel still has his credibility as a singer, the star power of 'guy who was getting the royalty checks' was bound to rub him the wrong way as well.

Though the group managed to put out a classic like Bridge Over Troubled Water, the sessions were a thing of nightmares, as each person tried to nix the others' idea. Even after a few offshoot reunions, the idea of them making an album is slim to none, considering how each of them go back and forth like clockwork today. Then again, when you have a creative relationship that lasts longer than most marriages do, some things never really change, do they?
