10 Musicians Who Hate Their Own Songs

6. Madonna - Like A Virgin

The list of her own songs that Madonna can't stand is a pretty long one, but it is somewhat understandable given her massive back catalogue. God only knows how many times she's turned on the radio in her car or walked into a grocery store only to hear her own voice blasting out of the speakers.

While she's on the record saying that she hates songs such as Material Girl and Holiday, for the purpose of this list we are choosing one of her biggest early hits -- Like a Virgin. The 1984 hit became Madonna's first number-one song in many countries (including the United States), selling over six million copies worldwide and establishing the singer as a pop superstar.

It was truly a defining moment in Madonna's career, but she is not so keen to look back on it. This just seems to be a classic case of an artist getting absolutely tired of hearing one of their songs too many times and ending up hating it.

In a 2008 radio interview, she stated: "I just can't [sing it] unless somebody paid me, like, $30 million or something." To be fair, there probably are people in the world who would pay her that much just to hear her perform it.
