10 Musicians Who Have Joined Multiple Bands
1. Dave Grohl
In terms of artists who can't be contained to one band, rock fans almost need an encyclopedic knowledge to keep track of all the projects Dave Grohl involves himself with. While he is known primarily as the drummer for Nirvana and the main man of Foo Fighters, Grohl's rap sheet reaches through every facet of rock music.
Before even Nirvana's fame, Grohl was one of the fastest drummers on the East Coast in the hardcore punk outfit Scream. While in Kurt Cobain's band of grunge giants, Grohl also found time to release his own solo outing under the psuedonym Late!. Once Grohl became the leader of the Foo Fighters, he still couldn't be tied to just the high-energy rock his own band. Across the 2000's, he has toured with bands like Queens of the Stone Age and Them Crooked Vultures while also doing session work with everyone from Nine Inch Nails to Tenacious D.
Somewhere in between all these endeavors, Grohl has even put out a solo metal album under the name Probot, where he collaborates with all his favorite metal singers. Lending his talents to any band that will have him, Grohl has kept up a reputation for being one of the most versatile musicians in rock today.
